Dairy Queen’s Free Cone Day Returns to Texas on March 20

During the annual Free Cone Day celebration, which will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, patrons of Dairy Queen in Lubbock and around the state of Texas will have the opportunity to receive a free small vanilla cone.

A press release states that the giveaway is available at participating locations for as long as supplies are available and that each individual is only allowed to get one cone.

According to Lou Romanus, the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Dairy Queen Operators Council, "Texans love spring, and what better way to celebrate than with a free DQ vanilla cone to show your appreciation?" "We are extending a friendly Texas thank you to all of our DQ fans across the state for making Dairy Queen a part of their life."

The Mint Oreo Blizzard, Dairy Queen's Blizzard of the Month for March, will also be available for purchase during the remaining days of the month for those seeking an additional treat.

Known for its traditional soft-serve ice cream, Blizzards, and other menu items centered on Texas, Dairy Queen has been a mainstay in the state for the past seventy-eight years.
