New Braunfels Canyon defensive back Luke Bell has committed to play football for Texas Tech in 2026. He is an essential addition to the team's recruiting class. Bell made his promise public on Saturday, making him the third recruit in the class.

Bell, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, showed off his skills this season while playing for a Class 6A team that went 8-5. He had 38 stops, four tackles for loss, three pass breakups, two interceptions, and a forced fumble over the course of five games.

In Texas Tech's 2026 recruiting class, Bell joins linebacker Tieson Ejiawoko (6-3, 226) and defensive tackle Ayden Johnson (6-1, 315) from Georgetown East View. This is a good start for the future of the school.

Along with the rush to recruit, Texas Tech stated that spring practice would start on March 10 and end with the annual spring game at Jones AT&T Stadium on April 19. More information and specific game times will be made public in the next few weeks.

With Bell's dedication, the Red Raiders continue to improve their team, which sets them up for future success in the Big 12.
