On Wednesday, a significant operation was carried out in Lubbock, Texas, by the FBI, DEA, and local law enforcement, resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals linked to a narcotics trafficking ring.

FBI Director Kash Patel shared the news of the takedown on social media, highlighting the agency’s revitalized commitment to dismantling drug operations connected to cartels throughout the U.S.

Patel indicated that at least one suspect was connected to Mexican drug cartels, although additional details remain undisclosed. In collaboration with state and federal partners, the Dallas field office of the FBI was instrumental in the operation.

This recent crackdown is an element of Patel’s broader strategy to address cartel activity through the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has often posted updates on social media about the arrests of cartel affiliates, MS-13 members, and various other criminal networks.

The names of the individuals arrested and details regarding the narcotics involved have not yet been disclosed by the authorities. Patel emphasized the FBI’s dedication to dismantling cartel influence in the United States.

This operation represents an important advancement in Patel’s continuous endeavors to address transnational crime. Additional measures are anticipated in the upcoming months.
