Meadowbrook Golf Club Temporarily Closes for Major Updates and Management Transition

Starting Thursday, Lubbock's Meadowbrook Golf Club will temporarily close while the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department manages a change to new administration and significant facility renovations.

On January 1, 2025 Orion Golf, the recently chosen management company, will take over daily operations and course maintenance. The change promises the golf community better facilities and greater services.

Planned improvements for Meadowbrook include a new fleet of golf cars, cutting-edge John Deere maintenance tools to enhance course conditions, and a rebuilt driving range. A 10,000-square-foot storage facility, a redesigned kitchen and café, and clubhouse modifications meant to improve visitors' whole experience include further enhancements.

Although the exact reopening date is unknown, the city expects the club to return early February 2025 with an open house and season kick-off set for March.
