Officials confirmed Thursday that two teens from Texas were arrested after police found what they say was a plan to carry out a mass attack at a high school in Houston. The suspects are kids in the Spring Branch Independent School District. The FBI and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are in charge of the investigation into the threats they made online.

Officials say they were told about the possible threat on Tuesday and quickly arrested two female suspects, ages 15 and 16. The teen, who goes to Houston's Memorial High School, was taken in Harris County on charges of making a terroristic threat. The Willis High School student, 15, was arrested on charges unrelated to the crime. The charges have not been made public yet.

Law enforcement sources told ABC 13 Houston that guns and pipe bombs were part of the alleged plan. However, no weapons, explosives, or materials for making bombs have been found in Harris County yet. In both Harris and Montgomery counties, police are still looking for proof.

The FBI learned about the threat earlier this week and worked with local police to make the arrests. Authorities have not said how they found out about the alleged plan. Because the investigation is still going on, officials have not given out any more information about where the arrests were made or when they think the attack happened.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's office has said they will give details as new information comes in.
