Walmart, Sam's Club, and the Walmart Foundation have all committed to providing a total of six million dollars to fund relief efforts in response to the devastating impact that Hurricane Helene has produced

From the 30th of September to the 13th of October, residents of Lubbock have the opportunity to contribute to these efforts by making donations at the registers of Walmart and Sam's Club, as well as online at Walmart.com.

Walmart is going to match donations to the American Red Cross one-to-one, up to a maximum of $2.5 million, in order to encourage more customers to give.

Organizations that are assisting in the recovery from a natural disaster are receiving funding and vital supplies from Walmart. These goods include food and water. Additionally, the company is collaborating with non-profit organizations and suppliers in order to provide disaster-affected areas with essential supplies such as free meals, WiFi hotspots, charging stations, laundry and shower services, and more. This is especially important for regions who are still without power.

Visit Walmart's website to learn more about the specific assistance initiatives that are being undertaken in places that have been affected by Hurricane Helene.
