According to a press release issued on Monday, Texas Tech University has been acknowledged in the 2024 Great Colleges to Work For program for the sixth time since 2014 and for the fourth consecutive year. Texas Tech is one of 75 institutions to receive the designation and one of 42 institutions to attain Honor Roll status for the third consecutive year. This recognition is based on faculty and staff surveys at 216 institutions across the United States.
Lawrence Schovanec, the President of Texas Tech, stated, "This recognition is a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication of our faculty and staff." "Texas Tech is an exceptional environment for both learning and employment due to their dedication to supporting and assisting our students and one another."
The university has been recognized in 2014, 2015, and 2021-2023. The program also acknowledged two additional institutions within the Texas Tech University System: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and Angelo State University.
This year, Texas Tech was recognized in nine categories: professional development, compensation and benefits, job satisfaction and support, and confidence in senior leadership.
Jodie Billingsley, associate vice president for Human Resources, stated, "This recognition underscores our supportive culture, in which the success and welfare of our faculty, staff, and students are of the utmost importance."
