Zach Kittley has been appointed head football coach at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), therefore starting a vibrant new chapter for the Owls. Kittley, who is just 33 years old, rises to be the youngest head coach in Division 1 FBS football and boasts a reputation as one of the best offensive brains in the game.
After three great seasons as Texas Tech's offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, Kittley moves to FAU where his creative ideas were much praised. FAU Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White made the announcement and highlighted Kittley's vision and integrity.
"Zach turned out to be the best fit for running our program," White added. "His enthusiasm for developing athletes and his creative, forward approach to football fit Florida Atlantic exactly."
Reflecting White's views, FAU President Stacy Volnick expressed excitement about Kittley's family-oriented approach and vitality.
Kittley inked his agreement on Monday; he will be publicly unveiled Friday at FAU Stadium. Regarding his new position, Kittley showed thanks and enthusiasm for the chance.
"My family and I are delighted to be part of the Florida Atlantic community," Kittley stated. "We are eager to develop a championship program and interact with the amazing FAU supporters."
