Reacting to catastrophic storms in southeast Texas, acting Governor Dan Patrick declared the deployment of more than 300 state responders to help with recovery work. With flash flooding, big hail, destructive wind gusts, and tornadoes, the extreme weather left at least one death and extensive damage.

"Please join Jan and me in prayer for the impacted families and their communities," Patrick stated in a Saturday statement. Texas state agencies, he underlined, are already evaluating the damage and are working nonstop to assist impacted citizens.

The isolated power disruptions the storms brought about in the area complicated recovery efforts even more. Patrick reassured neighbors that authorities give the restoration of power to affected areas top priority.

Search-and-rescue personnel, utility repair crews, and other vital responses targeted at stabilizing the situation and starting the long process of reconstruction are part of the deployment.

Texas's dedication to helping communities impacted by natural catastrophes is shown by this quick reaction as local and state agencies cooperate to offer relief.
