According to the preliminary forecast that meteorologists have given for the homecoming weekend at Texas Tech University (TTU), it appears that there is a possibility that rain may accompany the festivities. Here is a comprehensive weather forecast to assist you in getting ready for the several events that are scheduled to take place from Friday to Saturday.

Friday, October 18th

The Rowdy Raider Rally will begin at 11:30 AM, marking the beginning of the weekend. The weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s, with clouds in the sky and a thirty percent chance of precipitation. There will be winds blowing from the south at a speed of 15-20 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 30 miles per hour.

Start time for the Homecoming Parade is six o'clock. Even though the sky will be largely cloudy and there is a forty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, temperatures will remain in the upper sixtys. It is anticipated that the winds will be stronger, traveling from the southeast at 20-25 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 40 miles per hour.

Conditions will be comparable for the Pep Rally and Bonfire that will take place at 7:30 p.m.: temperatures in the upper 60s, a forty percent chance of rain, and southeast winds between twenty and twenty-five miles per hour.

Saturday, October 19

The starting time for Raidergate is eleven in the morning, and the temperature will range from the upper 50s to the low 60s. There is a fifty percent probability that it may rain, and the sky will be cloudy. Continued winds from the southeast at 15–20 miles per hour are expected.

The TTU vs. Baylor Homecoming Game is the major event, and it will begin at three o'clock. Expect temperatures in the middle to high 60s, skies that are largely cloudy, and a fifty percent chance of precipitation for those who attend the game. In the southeast, winds will blow between 18 and 22 miles per hour, with gusts getting close to 35 miles per hour.

Additionally, individuals who are hoping to attend the homecoming activities are strongly encouraged to bring rain gear and jackets with them.

Fans are invited to come out and enjoy the weekend festivities, even if, according to the forecast, it is expected to rain.
