In a renewed commitment to fighting child exploitation, Voice of Hope, the Lubbock Rape Crisis Center, and key community partners have announced the relaunch of the Lubbock County Care Coordination Team (CCT).
The initiative, designed to support child survivors of sex trafficking, will be officially reintroduced at an event on March 13, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Lubbock Police Headquarters.
Voice of Hope has relaunched its Child Exploitation Coordinated Community Team (CCT), a crucial effort to bolster support for survivors. Care Coordinator Mary Duenes highlighted the initiative's collaborative nature, emphasizing its role in providing immediate support and a clear path to healing and justice.
Key partners include the Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office, Department of Family & Protective Services, Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center, CASA of the South Plains, Child Advocacy Center of the South Plains, Covenant Medical Center, University Medical Center, Texas Tech University Health Sciences C.A.R.E. Center, and Saint Francis Ministries.
The CCT, operating with a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach, aims to provide a comprehensive safety net for survivors, ensuring access to care, legal support, and recovery pathways.
The CCT is a collaborative effort among law enforcement, medical professionals, child advocacy organizations, and social services. Its mission is to ensure that every identified survivor has access to high-quality, non-punitive, and community-based services to support both their immediate needs and long-term recovery.
