City of Lubbock Targets Code Violations in Leftwich Monterey Cleanup Effort

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., the Code Administration Department of the City of Lubbock will do a neighborhood deployment in the Leftwich Monterey area. until 4:00 p.m. Inspectors will be looking for and fixing violations related to abandoned cars, weeds and trash that are a nuisance, housing that doesn't meet standards, and zoning violations.

Code Administration Inspectors will be there to teach people about these violations, give them tickets, and, if necessary, take quick steps to fix the problems. 50th Street, University Avenue, South Loop 289, and Indiana Avenue all touch the area that is being watched.

A field office will be set up in the parking lot east of the Burgess Rushing Tennis Center at 3020 66th Street to help with the cleanup. In addition, a roll-off container will be provided for people to use at this location.
