Mark Miller is leaving after a legendary coaching career. He is a famous Professor of Meat Sciences at Texas Tech and a legendary Meat Judging coach. When he got back to Lubbock, he was greeted by family and friends. Miller considered using his position to give kids more power than just competition.

Miller said, "We tell our kids to go out and change the world." "Be a kind, caring, and selfless leader to make the team better."

Miller's last competition was the 2024 International Meat Judging Contest, where he came in third place. He is not going to be coaching anymore, but he still wants to do study and judge meat at Texas Tech. It will now be run by Dr Blake Foraker, who Miller called "the best young coach in the field."

Miller shared his main philosophy: "Focus on excellence, service, and honour, and winning will come naturally." Real success comes from putting people first and making a program that feels like a family, with God at the centre.

Even though the Red Raiders' season is over, Miller's heritage lives on and his door is still open to students who want to learn and grow in the meat business.
