Texas House Speaker Commends Lubbock TAG Center for Crime-Fighting Success

As stated in a news release issued by the Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) on Tuesday, Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows acknowledged the Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) of Lubbock in a resolution that highlighted the organization's recent achievements in the fight against criminal activity. 

It was commended in the resolution that the Texas Agencies Group (TAG) worked along with the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit, which included the Lubbock Police Department and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, to achieve a murder clearance rate of one hundred percent in the year 2024.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is one of the organizations that is participating in the cooperative efforts that are being undertaken by TAG and Lubbock Metro. According to the press release, the accomplishment was attributed to the concerted efforts of law enforcement officers from the state, county, and local levels.

The statement concluded, "This accomplishment was made possible through strong collaboration, ensuring the safety of residents of Lubbock County."
