Lubbock Residents Brace for Rainy Midweek After Mild Start to Week

Though wet conditions are lurking around the horizon, Lubbock residents may start the week with clear sky and mild temperature. Forecasts for Monday show highs close to 51 degrees, which makes today ideal for outdoor activities.

Rain runs in late tuesday night as the National Weather Service reports that late Tuesday night,  a weather system will bring rain showers to the area. There is an 80% chance of precipitation carrying into Wednesday morning. Tuesday night's low temperatures will dip to about 40 degrees, which can provide slick conditions during early morning travels.

Residents are advised to make plans for the rain midweek, particularly for Wednesday early commutes. 

For Wednesday it is shower and cloudy sky views. The Wednesday projection calls for high temperatures close to 50 degrees, sporadic showers, and cloudiness. By Thursday morning, rain is supposed to start to fade.

Clearing skylines and days ahead warmer for the rest of the week as the end of the week will provide relief from the dampness. Thursday will find sky cleared and highs around 53 degrees. Friday, sunny sky return with temperatures almost at 59 degrees, indicating a milder and more pleasant conclusion of the week.
