During a visit to Tel Aviv, Lubbock pastor Carl Toti, senior pastor at Trinity Church, was caught amid unrest as missile strikes struck Israel. Iran launched attacks in response to the assassination of Hezbollah leaders, including Hassan Nasrallah, which worsened tensions in the region.
Toti shared on social media that he and his tour group and hotel personnel are currently in a bomb shelter. Israel's defence system intercepted numerous missiles, although more than one hundred were launched. No immediate injuries were reported, which is a relief.
During this uncertain period, Toti and 25 other pastors who travelled together relied on faith. Toti acknowledged, "We are aware that the Lord is the one who controls the battle." The group had travelled to Israel to offer their respects following a previous terrorist attack; however, they were unintentionally caught in the crossfire.
Despite reporting that he had safely returned to his hotel room, Toti acknowledged the ongoing peril. "The terrorists are still at large, so they are urging everyone to remain indoors," he stated. "This is an experience that we have never encountered in the United States." However, it is a manner of life in this location.
The situation remains fraught as the region prepares for additional developments.
