According to an updated analysis by Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) and The Hill, President Biden's replacement with Vice President Kamala Harris at the head of the Democratic ticket has influenced the political landscape in favor of Democrats.

Harris has a 55% chance of defeating former President Trump in the presidential election, a substantial increase from Biden's 44% before he endorsed her on July 21.

Additionally, Harris's candidacy has enhanced the prospects of Democratic candidates in the House and Senate despite their continuing to encounter significant obstacles, bolstering her own campaign.

The Republican Party is expected to have a 67% chance of regaining the Senate majority, a decrease from 78% when Biden was in the race. In contrast, the House contest is considerably more competitive, with Republicans possessing a 56% likelihood of preserving their majority, a minor decline from the 61% they held during Biden's tenure.

The primary reason for Harris's substantial rise in the surveys is the renewed enthusiasm among Democrats, particularly in critical swing states.

In critical battlegrounds such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, she is currently the favorite, as her odds of victory have significantly increased since Biden's withdrawal.

Analysts warn that the elections remain competitive despite the favorable shift for Democrats. Scott Tranter, the director of data science at DDHQ, underscored the instability of the present political climate, stating, "Neither campaign can rest easy tonight believing they are in the lead."
