Seniors Alison Abston from Frenship High School and Kamryn Fortner have been chosen to perform at the U.S. Army Bowl on December 21 at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas. The pair is among just forty cheerleaders selected from the nation to highlight their abilities at this elite event.
Since middle school, the two athletes have cheered together, developing a relationship that has brought them this fantastic chance.
Kamryn Fortner, who changed from gymnastics to cheerleading in high school, has become an outstanding athlete. Fortner said, "It's crazy to see how much cheer has changed from what I thought I was going to do when I was little to now."
Dedicated cheerleader with almost ten years of experience, Alison Abston has promised to cheer for Lubbock Christian University. Thinking back on the distinction, Abston stated, "I never would have imagined being able to cheer at this level. We have such a great chance here, so I am thrilled. It is prestigious”.
Performing at the U.S. Army Bowl marked a turning moment in seniors' cheerleading careers and a unique approach to remembering their last year at Frenship High School.
